Whats the cartridge you LOVE to HATE?

Bulltinkle, or should I use the more appropriate name "bulls|#l" ?

Ohhh hadn't seen that spicey edit! Nice.

An item that apparently you're familiar with…..not necessary here! Why is it when someone talks poorly about your choice of cartridges, in jest……many of you seem to immediately drift to sexual inadequacies! A "Freudian" issue perhaps!

Heck, even without a brake, sissy shoulders……unless it's a shooter using "Bud Light" for nutrition and regularly getting massaged by a 6.5 CM, should handle the recoil quite easily! 😂
🤔

Well would ya look at that

Being from the south your statement surprises me. I've never shot one.
The one's that I've been around were very accurate although. I'd have to limit the range due to powder capacity and light bullets.
I always thought according to some people from this region that it could do almost anything in the hands of someone that had skills.
I have no problem with it along as it's used properly by someone that knows what they're doing.

I have to list two cartridges I love because of their efficiency, ease to reload and accuracy is highly achievable…..🥰🥰🥰7mm SAUM & 30 Nosler🥰🥰🥰

This one is more of a Love/Hate….🤬🥰28 nosler 🤬🥰. East to load highly accurate but barrel life is really horrible. By the time you love it, it she will have lots of plastic surgeries and a new barrel😂😂😂😂
You are very correct on the 28 Nosler—it will do some amazing things; however at the expense of barrel life (and I own one). When I first saw the ballistics I knew I had to have one. Not giving barrel life much consideration, I bought one. I went ahead and bought the rifle thinking the short barrel life wouldn't really matter much since I was going to be using 100% for hunting and not ringing steel at 1,000 yards. Hindsight, probably not the best purchase.

barrels are like car tires. They make em every day
Very true. Here's my take on barrel life. I found that barrel burner cartridges have accuracy drop off sooner than most people seem to think. That's for me at least. I track accuracy in the long run and barrel burners tend to have slightly degraded accuracy starting at 200-300 rounds even if I chase the lands. That's why I've pretty much quit using them. It's not so much the cost of the new barrel but the time spent dealing with the gunsmith to do the swap and all the hassle and time required in breaking in a new barrel.

I simply don't have that much free time. My 308 and 223 barrels seem to keep accuracy well beyond 1,000 rounds. I suspect they will way beyond that but I just don't shoot enough to find out.

A prairie dog rifle is the only exception. If I get into a really good dog town and the shots are long, the 22-250 and 243 will start getting hot and that cooks barrels pretty fast but at that point I simply don't care... LOL

Hi.. My name's Bob and I'm a prairie dog addict.

😂 you still have to love it though. It's like that crazy hot chick you dated back in the day before marriage and you never brought her around your parents 😂😂😂😂

The Crazy Hot Chick is such an awesome explanation!!!!

Everytime I see it posted somewhere I just absolutely laugh my *** off.

I wish my statistics class would have so well explained.

One solution is to get more serious about cleaning barrels.

Forget everything you learned on the internet and use JB bore paste, JB bore bright :)eek:), copper brushes on a power drill, stainless steel brushes, etc.

If the accuracy is already gone, what do you have to lose by trying it? Can't ruin a shot-out barrel any worse 😈
