Yes, sane people/hunters know this happens. Murphy is always against us.Couple years ago my brother in law shot a moose cow….didn't see the calf a good ways behind it. Did you know that the boring old 180 grain Winchester power point out of a .308 can kill two moose with one shot!? Double lunged the cow, meat saver shot, exited and hit the calf also by luck (or bad luck) right in the chest as well. Both animals were stone dead by the time he got there. He felt sick! Absolutely terrible. But lucky for him I had also been drawn for moose that year. I'll admit I was pretty choked that I didn't go moose hunting that year BUT also noted that the other two times I've been drawn I struck out. Put my tags on the calf, no harm no foul. And if you've never had calf moose…well holy smokes it makes beef seem like leather haha. Not the worst thing in the world to have one's brother in law owe you a favour haha, took him up on it installing some flooring a while back

This one is different, bro. Read his PM again. Nasty stuff and obviously maliciously going after someone, in this case Steve. From an investigators point of view, it's pretty easy to see its more than about "killing Bambi". I don't care who done it, I won't defend a guy who wrote that and has such obvious sinister intent. It's hard for me to understand this negativity overall. Even though I don't have much to do personally with Hammer...I don't blame Steve for the post. Afterall, he's blamed if he did and blamed if he didn't...Posting a private message isn't slander. Slander is a statement meant to damage one's reputation. Posting a private message on a public forum kind of does the opposite. And starting a whole new topic is adding to the crap show, so if the plan is to minimize it, why start ANOTHER thread.

The guy threatening me in a pm if I don't do as he asks, I think warranted me helping him out. I don't like the drama in any way. I never start this stuff. I never run away either.Steve, you just LOVE the drama.
Why do you post these type of threads then complain about people not liking you? You do realize this is a major reason, unless you don't care, then I can't blame you!
