Hammer bullets barrel life

You aren't but I definitely am I hear stuff like this all the time. I get hunters make stories sound better big fish stories etc. But there's a difference between that and being ridiculous. 600 animals in less than 12 hours the physical toll alone would wipe most people out. Loading, shooting, moving, getting setup, etc. I invite anyone to go kill 50-100 animals and see if you want or can continue.
I just killed 582 in one day last week, with 564 of those being shot within a 7hr period. You're right, it does take a toll, but it wasn't so bad that I didn't go out the very next day and kill 159 more in just a couple hours.

The point was quantity
And my point remains. It isn't velocity that eats barrels, it's heat and pressure. Moderate loads will give you more barrel life all else being equal.

When I was hunting predators and varmints for several large ranches in NM I was new to reloading and I burned through 2-3 220 Swift barrels per year running in excess of 4,200fps on everything.

When I moderated my loads a bit the barrels started lasting considerably longer.

You're joking right? 600 animals at a time hunting? To kill that many animals in a day you would have to have them in a pen even then that's a ridiculous amount. The logistics of actually doing that, carrying ammunition, shooting, moving, carrying other gear, etc. I've been out with teams of guys to wipe out hogs and we would kill well over a hundred in a day with 16-18 shooters going after big groups. They were destroying farmers crops and would pile in the field in groups of 30-80 and we would unload with a fire team doing a mad minute. Either you're joking or he's telling a big fish story.
He's not joking

He's not joking
Yet there's zero evidence to support it I've seen. I've covered a lot of the hammer posts and seen him pop up a lot saying stuff. Yet that's all I've seen is claims. If he's actually a culler he should have tons of evidence. I have a buddy in New Zealand who culls. He's required to document a take pictures of every kill. Unless I missed something in researching hammer bullets on here I have seen nothing but claims from him and pretty unbelievable ones at that.

He has all of the evidence you need and will be here soon, he's busy right now calving as he owns a dairy as well, you Sir are awful bold to have joined on Sep 22, I do believe you may have been here before?

Sure looks like we have one here
No I haven't been here before. So if someone legitimately questions someone making huge claims without any supporting evidence they are a troll? I was raised to use my brain and not believe everything that I'm told especially when it seems ridiculous. If a guy driving a old junker care tells me he's a millionaire and has Ferrari's should I believe him or question it? I look forward to seeing "proof" from him so far I've only seen claims and you guys trying to label me as a troll.

Oz isn't NZ and unchecked the roos destroy millions of acres of grass much needed by the livestock and other wildlife.

They are the Oz equivalent of prairie dogs that weigh
20-70lbs each.

Nobody here owes you anything so cool your jets.
