Barn find / possible new rifle build ?

Found this old wards spotting scope in barn and got to thinking that since my eyes arent as good as good as they used to be , i would try mounting it on an old arisaka , only trouble is i dont have a bolt for the rifle, and trying to decide if making crosshairs with a sharpie will work?

I'd recommend using a fine point sharpie if your planning on long range. Also if u find the bolt you might want to double check the clearance on the bell. Could affect the accuracy of such an instrument of precision. She's a beaut Clark!

Never concidered that , but makes perfect sense to me .
Also if your interested in it, throw in a hotdog since its national hotdog day.

A spot of super glue and a zip tie around the front will probably be necessary. Just the one mount point at the rear could allow the scope to walk when shooting.

You need a highlighter pen, not a Sharpie. Illuminated scopes are better in the dark..

Found a bolt last evening, but its for a 22 cal , remington , good news is with two layers of duct tape it fits tight enoigh to work.
Next week i might put a round in it and get some string long enoigh to hide behind the barn, and let her rip.
