.223 Remington semiauto rifles that don't look like ARs

I'm just going to say its a dang shame the libs have put such a stigma on AR type rifles. I grew up customizing my wood stock rifles and LOVE a nice wood stock . These day , for a rifle using a round not 4 inches long, all I build are ARs. They are exceptionally accurate, very modular and adaptable , and extremely practical . They are truly a MODERN SPORTING RIFLE . Very packable. If you ever need to hit the way back for an extended retreat, you can carry several calibers in a small backpack because one lower receiver will work with basically any upper receivers you care to own. There is something nice about a well sorted stock and trigger group you can shoot in 22lr, 223, 6.5 Grendel, and in my case , a BOLT ACTION upper in 6mm ARC. its just a shame that even a lot of gun guys don't see how nice that platform works .

I say do the opposite. Invite all like us to move BACK to California and bring the vote swing back the other way. If we don't, we're just helping them concentrate their liberalism. And they want to run the rest of the country next...
Hey, if we can get them all in one pile ...............

Possibly an indoor range where they want lead free ammo. Due to the air purification systems. That created the frangible lead free ammo market. Not sure if that's even a factor anymore.
At the time she was in Santa Cruz. I believe she tried both indoor and outdoor range. She was a security guard at the time, so who knows where she tried. btw that was when a 9mm brass was .20 a round!

Spot on 100% first thing I thought too. Is it possible we have a gun hater who knows nothing about guns asking a question to ensure they include all of the right semi-guns in their list to outlaw? What do we know about this guy?
That was my point exactly. This is a really odd place to ask these questions.

My experience with a Mini-14 was a very long time ago. What I remember was the high pitched whistle the gas made when I fired it. Even with plugs and muffs it was borderline painful being really a high pitched tone.

Never had that problem with models 180 and 181 on 5.56/223. Pull trigger and rifle just went boom.
Maybe a gas port partial blockage????

I had a GB Model and didn't have an issue with it either.

About the only non military looking rifle is the Browning BAR, but the smallest caliber it is available in is .243. Looking around about the only high quality bolt action that I would recommend is the Tikka T3x Varmint Hunter https://www.tikka.fi/en-us/rifles/tikka-t3x/t3x-varmint-hunter#overview, Their 1 MOA or less guarantee and no break in required are all accurate. These rifles shoot. Hope that this helps. Sorry cant find an non military looking semi auto but you will like this bolt action. I have 3 Tikka rifles, a .270, a 30-06 and a T1x ,22 All shoot well under 1 MOA including the .22 at 100 yards. The 270 which is the only one that I have fired at 300 yards held a 2.4 inch group, well under their 1 MOA guarantee. Use premium ammo or quality reloads. My reloads for the .270 shoot the same as Sig Sauer Premium ammo. Good luck and Good Shooting.
lol. Last pic I posted is a BAR. It was an issue rifle, making it a military firearm.
