Shoot 6.5x55 from a 6.5 creedmoor rifle...

Yeah, it's the wrong cartridge for the 6.5 creed. The bullet diameter and case head (primer end) are the only thing they have in common. Just taking a quick glance at the saamj drawings I don't think youd even be able to close the bolt on a x55 in the Creedmoor.

Don't try it.
It's getting desperate out there.......

You should not be able to close the bolt on a 6.5 creedmore rifle using a 6.5x55 cartridge. Remember when a rifle goes "BOOM" this is a controlled explosion near your face, so you always want to make sure everything is correct.

Get a reloading book and check out the different between the 2 cases. Unbelievable that people try or even think about chambering a different cartridge into a rifle without knowing what the differences are.
I will say one thing more, it's better to ask, and learn than try to shoot and find out the hard way. This is a great forum to learn and fine out. I see this is his first post and he asked, which is a good thing. There is people here that can add a lot of insight into shooting, and reloading.

Would there be any issue shooting 6.5x55 ammo though a 6.5 creedmoor rifle?
YES! Do NOT do it.

Well, you can shoot a 244 remington into a 6mm remington. A 375 h&h into a 375 weatherby , a 44 spécial into a 44 magnum...etc .we all started not knowing anything about the subject. I suggest for the op to read the book cartridges of the world to learn more .
But you can't shoot a .375 Wby in a .375 H&H....
Yes, you can put a smaller case in a bigger chamber, but not vice versa. Which is what the OP is asking.

He must have watched too many episodes of Demolition Ranch...
