From the good people at Powder Valley

Love seeing that from PV. Don't be an enabler.

Frontier, by the same measure, just because you want to hoard stuff doesn't mean the rest of us didn't plan ahead as well. The difference? I SHOOT. I shoot A LOT. I don't hoard reloading supplies and then wag a finger at people because they don't have a consumable on hand, I actually USE IT.

I too bought tens of thousands of primers and 100s of pounds of powder. Its gone, I shot it. You see, that's what this stuff is for, you put it all together and then you go out and SHOOT IT.

So save us your indignation. We are all very happy that you have a bunch of stuff you don't use. Bravo, you are officially a hoarder. When you become a shooter, check back in with us.
I shoot quite a bit. I'm stocked. Doesn't make me a hoarder. Makes me prepared. Of course you cant plan for everything such as a new gun. But if you are planning a build you can buy the things you know you'll need. I try to buy the loading components first then the gun parts.
You can be prepared for the obvious things that cause shortages.

Cannot believe the whining from those who never learned to plan ahead.

Bought mine during Obama days for $35.00/ 1000.
It isn't always a failure to plan that causes one to have supply challenges... sometimes life just gets in the way of our intentions. I like to shoot and change up from handguns to longguns from time to time . LRH allowed me to do that by trading SPP for LRP. My time to change up coincided with a perfect storm of political, environmental and social nonsense.

It's simple economics. High demand and low supply drives up prices. As the supply increases and/or demand declines, prices will settle only on what folks are willing to pay. If folks don't buy at high prices they'll come down. Some are more despairing than others at varying times. Godspeed

I think primers are going to be the real choking point. Hoarders can stockpile huge quantities of them in relatively small spaces and they aren't as dangerous or bulky as powder. I look for primers to be seriously long on demand and short on supply for way into the future. From what I've heard even ammo manufacturers are having a tough time getting them.

I recently looked at primers on Gunbroker and there were a LOT of people listing a LOT of primers at crazy high prices. No shortage there at all. If you don't have primers now you're likely to have to pay ridiculous prices well into the future if you decide you have to have them.
