Last week (9-24-07) I was in Colorado taking pictures. I wasn't alone. This scene outside Aspen is perhaps the most famous photo icon in the western states. There were 61 photographers (I counted them ) lined up along the shore. One of them was my neighbor and photo friend, Boyd. We were fortunate that the water was almost as still as glass, color was near peak and a little snow accented the Bells.
While about 40 of us were there at dawn, the light isn't at its best until around 10 am when the sun is high enough to light up the hillside on the left. You can see a little bit of breeze had picked up by then on the lake near the far shore.
