Only 2 powders to use

4350 definitely, I've been using IMR4350 myself. While some say it is temp sensitive, I've found it only gained 50fps on really hot days. Plus, it shot even better. Temps difference was 17f to just above 90.
4831 is the other one I've had good success with in multiple calibers.

If you guys was gonna try an narrow down several calibers to only 2 some what extreme powders what would it be for these calibers.
25wssm with 85's
25-06 with 115's
264 win mag 120's
264 win mag 143's
270wsm 130's
7mm wsm 168's

all opinions are appreciated
H4831 and Retumbo

H4350 AND H4831

I'll second that. Those two powders will do 95% of what you want to do WELL, and the other 5% will be "close enough." I would be happy enough with either of those as my ONLY powder. True, you would be leaving some velocity on the table with one or more of these cartridges, and if a guy wants to wring every foot/second or fraction of an MOA out of his group size, he might find a need for "the perfect powder." but for most of his practical shooting, these two will get it done.

IMR4831 is my default for my 243 100gr, 25-06 120 gr, 264 Mag 140 gr, 270 Win 140 gr, 7x61 S&H 150 gr, 30-06 180 gr, and 338 Mag 250 gr. So I could probably get by with it as I've put a LOT of meat on the table with every caliber. IMR4831 is great with the heavy bullets but not so good with the lighter ones. And a good second choice is IMR4350. ... my opinion only

Please,Not trying to be preachy at all. I said that's what "I" would do, Not telling the OP to do that. Just trying to share experience of what I think I know, have learned, and has worked out for me. Hoping it will work out for others too. Attitude is very difficult for me in text. I'm better at it in person. Really sorry if it came off that way.
All good from my view point. Interesting method. After all that do you find combos that just don't shoot well no matter what?

I also have been trying to bring things down to "just" a few powders. Pistol=Universal. Small Rifle= BLc(2) Large Rifle (Magnum) H-1000. Maybe not all the best in everything but all work for MOK. Min of kill!

Since you're asking about Extreme powders, although these aren't Extreme Powders but comparable, I'd probably go with RL16 and RL23......if not comparing to Extreme Powders, I'd throw RL26 in the mix! These 3 have replaced most of my Hodgdon powders since they've become more temp stable.

Just curious. Why have you replaced that brand. I don't have ready access to RL powers. Are they better or just cheaper?
