Manitoba Buck

"Nets are for fish". I'm going to use that one! Great line. Thanks everyone. I hope I'm not coming across as unhappy with the score. He does have character and a nice big frame. The 160" net is just a goal I've set for myself that I just can't seem to accomplish. But hey it gives me all the more reason to head out and try again next year.
Taxidermist can do some great things...just saying. Delete this thread and no one would know.:D
Reminds me of a fella I know that would say he could bench press "dam near 300 lbs"...it was 250. But technically he was right or close enough in his own mind. So if you said "dam near 160" you wouldn't be so unhappy.:D

That's a nice buck! I'm on the who cares about net score team, but, best of luck on your goal of a net 160"+. Having a goal in mind is a good way to make sure you stay on your game.

Thanks again guys. There are some big big deer out there. But they get big for a reason. They're smart!!! Spent about 60 hrs in my stand last year and never seen this guy, so you got to get lucky. Hunting the rut sure helps. Even the big guys make mistakes looking for love.

Carson.22 shot him towards the SW corner of the province. I'm close to Morden. I've hunted the same private land out west for 35 years. Two brothers I hunt with actually hold the MB record for non typical in muzzle loader and with rifle. ML deer went 265" and change. Rifle recorded went 285" something. Both shot the same year and only half mile apart. Never had one trail camera picture of either of those monsters. Picked up some non typical sheds years ago and had replicas made. He went 233". Good genetics in that area but it's tough hunting.
