About to start fire forming and load work up for my 6.5 SS. I have heard some weird things with people having some problems with the 147 ELDM in the higher velocity rounds tumbling down range. Anyone seeing this? About to start load development and have several bullets to choose.

147eldm
124 hammers
130 berger AR OTM hybrids
130 Sierra Game Changers

This will be a hunting round and will be willing to reach out there. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Ive never seen that in the SS or SST and Ive shot them to 1300 yards. Velocity was up to 3200 in the ss.

I have two 6.5SSs. One is a 1:8" that I have been shooting for over a year, tons of different bullet/powder trials. A lot of different bullets, from 124 Hammer, 127 LRX, 130 HVLD, 140 HVLD, 140 Hybrid, 142 SMK, 142 NABLR, to 150 SMK. For long range, the 150 SMK is awesome.

My new one was built specifically to shoot the 156 Berger, expecting it to require a 1:7.5" twist, not a 1:8". Which I would bet is the optimal twist rate. Also, the heavier Hammers. I only have 21 rounds down the barrel, and it it loves the 156 Berger so far. I would look at those if you can get a few.
