More News on the 6.5 Creedmoor: U.S. Military and DHS

6.5x47 = Swedish 6.5 Creed =American. That's the ONLY reason

And isn't Lapua as in 6.5x47 lapua Finnish not Swedish? I'm sorry if I'm being rude but the Creedmore hating is an obsession almost on the scale of the left's obsession and hatred of President Trump (Creedmore derangement syndrome) i feel like it spills over to hatred for Hornady. I spend a lot of time reading on this sight and others. My observation is that although there are Creedmore fan boys for sure but most CM shooters just have good/great results with there 6.5 CM 6.5 PRC 6CM etc rifles, enjoy shooting them and find how versatile they, but as soon as somebody speaks well of the Cartride the CM derangement syndrome goes into full effect,again its just like the Left and if you dare say something even halfway decent about Trump. Seriously If someone starts a thread about the CM in a positive way the haters have to join in and the vitriolic CM hate propaganda starts flying lmao! Why not just don't comment because for whatever reason you disagree and find another thread to join in on. I'm not talking about the guys that have constructive things to say, those conversations/debates are interesting and informative, I'm talking about the snide smart as* comments like the guy on this one that said something about the 6.5CM anti tank use and that's no where near the nasty stuff people sometimes get into. I could go on and on pointing out all the craziness regarding the CM hating but I'm on my way home from work. Just to be clear, I'M NOT saying the CM haters are the same as the ALT left America haters, I'm just pointing out the similarity in the depth of obsession there is in knocking the round down as saying there are Soooooo many better Cartridges. The Creedmore and all its iterations are loved, many say better and here to stay (just like Trump ;) ) so get over it.

I don't care who's using what I'm never going to give up my 308 win in my AR-10! I've been loading this caliber in bolt guns since 1990 and my ballistics and shooting ability and knowledge of the cartridge can never be surpassed by me going to a 6.5 Creedmoor. Just my 2 cents!

That's exactly the right attitude on the subject, specifically "my ballistics and shooting ability and knowledge of the cartridge can never be surpassed by me going to a 6.5 Creedmoor. Just my 2 cents!" He knows and loves his .308 and it has served him well. He doesn't need to tear down the Creed to make his point.

Thank you sir. Like minded individuals we are. I know the 6 or 6.5 CM are awesome cartridges but learning to lob a new round out to 1k and beyond is not desirable for me. Especially when I hold 3/8 MOA with a custom AR-10 and my loads... hell...even my Savage Axis 308 bolt gun shoots 3/4 MOA with 168 MK's. Being prior military I can't imagine being on active duty as a sniper and changing my dope.

As long as the bullet wasn't specifically designed to expand the bullet can be used in WAR. Also look up the definition of Combatant which is State sponsored. Terrorists are not state sponsored combatants. Hollow point bullets can be used as long as the bullet is called open tip match designed for accuracy. Laws of land warfare are often misunderstood

OMG! I've just realized that I really like both the Creedmoore AND the .308 AND I own rifles chambered in both! The shame is almost too much to bear. Going to the range might be therapeutic at this point.

The heavy bullets can't be loaded to the magazine length of the AR10 platform

I think it's just a small mix up with the wording.

He might be saying the AR10 magazine length limits the OAL of the cartridge and that the heavier (longer) bullets will not function or fit the magazine if seated out.

That's a lot more words but I'm guess that's what he means...:);)
