In the Ear? Really???

me neither but i'm diggin it.

meanwhile... hunter pm'ed me a selfy. asked me to print, sign djones across his chest, scan and return.

well hunter, let me think about that for a second... HELL NO!!!!

Darn DJ, we've been warned about you posting pictures of your Girl(?)friend on this thread before. Now you're trying to pass it off as being Hunter? When you going to learn to quit picking up your partners at 2:00 AM after 2 cases of beer?

Hunter, be very cautious around DJ, he is downright sneaky. He tried to sell me a non-battery operated night vision device for only $125.00. He claimed with his Thermal sights, he didn't need it anymore. When I insisted on a picture it turned out to be a cut away tin can reflector with a candle inside. When I asked him what justified the price, he claimed that the Tallow in the candle was made from the Hogs he'd shot and rendering them down had taken a lot of time. Be very cautious!

walked into that one. really got to stop leading with my chin :(

Nawww, just keep doing it, it makes your posts worth reading for a change! big grin.gif

My dog has provided more shovel ready jobs than most politicians!

was farther than i thought. not sure how far but i judge everything relative to 100 yards, and they were farther than that. a coyote kept charging the babies and had the sow stirred up. they were very uncomfortable so i decided not to push it.

DJ, You got some nice hogs there and I see from the video that you filled your quota of dust bunnies too! I could see them just beyond, behind and in front of the hogs! For some reason, the video shots seemed louder than usual. were you using a suppressor? I would imagine in that area of farms a suppressor would almost be mandatory!

128433 Had to wait until 8:30 for him. 210lbs

Hatrick, Very nice hog! Keep it up.

Somehow my thread notification emails got dropped for a while. Glad to see that I haven't missed anything new,,,,,,

John, Nope! Same O, Same O! Welcome back! We figured you were so busy out hunting hogs (Or anything else edible) that you just didn't have the time for us!

Never underestimate the value of doing nothing. I've gotten so good at it, that I'm considered an expert!

akatuly, my buddy is down from AK and we have been doing some heavy duty goofin off. I took him for a tour of the country, scouted out some piggies and emptied out a couple hundred rounds shooting at rocks. Killed every one of them. I took the chance to try out some new loads on a long range pig-in-ator. I got a nice little custom chambered in .300 Webby. It will reach right out there! So no piggies in the bag but lots of fun under the belt.

Yeah, glad to hear you are having fun. the only problem with killing rocks is that they are so hard to clean and I haven't found one yet, except Halite, that had any kind of taste.

Custom .300 Weatherby, nice round, and you could have at least sent a picture rather than having us all sitting around salivating! Now go shoot some pigs!

I've had a lot of fun under my belt too, and you can take that anyway you want! big grin.gif

Quiet around here today and have things to do myself so later!

After killing rocks with the Webby you don't have to clean them. They return to their natural form of dust.
I took the buds all pig hunting and it figures they all seemed to have moved on. They will cycle back through, i have to wait.
Here's a pic of the Webby. It's a Mountain Rifles chambered in .300 Weatherby magnum with one of those imported scopes. Might be pretty good

John,
WHAT!....RE: Rocks, All this time I've been trying to clean them. Nothing worse than hauling an uncleaned and dirty rock home! big grin.gif

It figures that the day you want to go hunting, the hogs would disappear. Murphy's law in real life.

Nice Rifle, and although it's imported, Austria makes some pretty nice scopes! Hope it works out the way you hope!

Been busier than a Goldfish in a shark tank at lunchtime getting the 1939, 20 gauge Skeet gun restored so I can deliver it to my brother when we go back to Texas! Doesn't look like this will be a hunting trip this time. He rescheduled our hunt for somewhere about August, said he would explain when I got there! Darn, Darn, Darn!

Since we can't hunt this trip am going to head out from Houston and take the lady friend to New Orleans for 3-4 days from Houston. Then return to Houston for several more days. She's never been to N.O. so will be a good trip for her! I lived in Kenner, right outside New Orleans for several years so nothing exciting for me, but I can show her a good time and maybe we'll even see some sights! big grin.gif

Slower than a snail with a club foot around here so will close and see if anyone else has something going on over the next few days.

Hasta Lasagna!

The Savage Arms Company single shot .22 Rifle called the "Savage Favorite" was made with over 46 different sights, which makes accurate restoration very difficult! Machined Dovetails in the barrel can vary from 5/16" to 7/16".
