Now I have some brass I can size and shoot some real groups but I still need to see where pressure is to do a proper satterlee test. Stay tuned folks. Like my pun.

I have found all my proofs don't copper up near as much as my regular steel barrels as well!
I'm interested to see how the partitions shoot for you, mine really likes barnes.

Are my speeds really slow so far?
I feel it's 100 fps slow for the powder charge I'm using. What speeds are you all getting with same charges?

Yes yours seems about 100 FPS slower then most saums w/H1000 & 140's that I've been around/loaded for.
I'd give it 100 rounds or so. I'd bet the barrel will speed up.

My Bartlein sped up a lot at 225rds or so.
I bought a ton of 130VLD a while back that I'm still churning through. My best load was 62.7gr H1000 with RP brass @3110fps. Recently my 8yr old was shooting some 100yd groups that were just wild as he usually shoots pretty well. I was like 'let me get on that thing'. Sure enough 1.25moa or so. Checked the chrono....3190 same lot of ammo. So I'm finishing them off and starting over. Might switch to something else but the 130VLD has done well.
But I love my SAUM. I'm on my third barrel since 08/09. There really is no such thing but to me it's as close as you're going to get to a do all cartridge. I'm glad it's gained the popularity it has and ADG is making brass for it. I've got 100 in waiting to try but the RP brass holds up pretty well for me. My first barrel/chamber was before GAP refined the reamer design and primer pockets would go quick.

At this point it's only 25fps faster than my 6.5creed with rl26.

With the 143 eldx and 61.5 gr of H1000 on a 27" tube I was getting 3060 fps.
I am getting 3075 with 57 rl26 and 147 eldm.

Just hope I don't have one of the bad barrels they been putting out. First sign is they are slow. Then they Spike pressure. Very dissatisfied with the velocity so far.

I've only ran the Berger 130 HVLD in my GAP so far. 63.0 of H 1000 gets me 3250 with no pressure signs. Hornady brass, F215, 24", 8 twist Bartlein Barrel. (.81 free bore) I'm going to try the 140 HVLD. I got some Retumbo to fool around with also. Hope you didn't get a bad barrel Shep

That's smoking with the 130s. I don't have any 130s to try in it yet. I'll try a few of my buddies 130 gamechangers in it. I play around with making pens too. The lever action really does work to open and close it.
