I have heard many times about how temp sensitive this powder is but when I look on Hodgdons site they claim it is not supposed to be: Quote, " In addition, US869 is effected minimally by varying temperatures, a key feature for top competition and hunting accuracy".

So I don't know what this powder is, sensitive to temeratures or not sensitive to temperatures.

So if anyone has input on this please enlighten me
thanks

US 869 is a spherical powder and is more heat sensitive than the "Extreme: powders that they
offer.

I use quite a bit of it and find it to be better than some of the other brands. when I can and
the rifle likes it I use the "Extreme" powders to minimize this problem.

High temperature is the problem with most ball powders(90+ Degrees) low temp effects it but not
as bad.
