It's the last day of my cow elk hunt so I went up this morning with my wife and 15 year old boy. I spotted one at first light and ranged it at 1195 yards. I set up my heavier edge on a bipod and rear bean bag. I had a 4mph wind from 3 o'clock and 10 degree angle up. Dialed the NF up 30 MOA and .75 right. The cow dropped at the shot with the 300 SMK. I'm glad I was able to one up my 13 year old that killed one from 1090 3 weeks ago. He still has plenty of time to best me and I'm sure he will. The red arrow is where the cow was.
