It's the last day of my cow elk hunt so I went up this morning with my wife and 15 year old boy. I spotted one at first light and ranged it at 1195 yards. I set up my heavier edge on a bipod and rear bean bag. I had a 4mph wind from 3 o'clock and 10 degree angle up. Dialed the NF up 30 MOA and .75 right. The cow dropped at the shot with the 300 SMK. I'm glad I was able to one up my 13 year old that killed one from 1090 3 weeks ago. He still has plenty of time to best me and I'm sure he will.:) The red arrow is where the cow was.

Top shot BMckell,
Well done mate.

I think I remember seeing some pictures of you in the past with other LR kills, good to see you out and about doing what you love doing with your family.
Your son sure is a lucky boy to have a dad and mom that takes him out hunting.

Sweet, what mag box is on that rifle?

That is the Seekins magazine. That rifle used to be a 700P in 300 ultra. It has a 30 inch broughton 9.3 canted land barrel and D.E. brake and recoil lug. It weighs 18 lbs.

I have another one with a 30 inch Brux Sendero contour. It has a Wyatts box and weighs 13 lbs.
