Midway, Brownells, Mile High Shooting, Powder Valley, and many others work to keep shooting for hunters as affordable as possible. There's three things to consider when buying a reloading item. Do they have the bullets you want, at the best price, and do I like doing business with that outfit? Somedays you get all three from Midway, and sure hope they all stay in business for a long time.

Just have to shop around. I was I cabelas the other day and gave them 12 bucks for a reloading tray . Midway had them for 5 and change. I bought some powder shopped around for what's available and the had the best price but there bullets are higher than most places.
That's not the way I see it. That's not the way Jesus saw it either.

15 "I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! 16 But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!
Room temperature is dead. Let the Spirit lead you to your convictions, and you better keep them once found.
Yet there is no reason to be worked up over something as trivial as worldly possessions, much less those that are not required for life. If what you want is not available, move to something that is available. If it is available and you don't have the funds, ask for more money with the certain belief you'll have it, and you will have it.

25 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? 26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?
Many things I wanted to be shooting, are not available. So I went and found those that were, and bought them in large quantities. I will be happily shooting, while many will be stubbornly searching for things that are not to be found. What a blessing it is to have found what I could find, where I could find it.

What seems to be obvious is that an outspoken few want price intervention by some form of authority. I have to guess that would be government authority. That would be what we call "price controls." Or, in Russia, North Korea and China a communist economy where the central government controls the means of production. I think I'd rather stick with market forces determining what we pay. Particularly since we, the consumer, determine which purveyors succeed and which fail based on who we patronize. Be careful what you wish for. You might just get it, Komrads.

yes ill proudly admit I'm one of the reasons most can't find supplies and i won't feel bad or lose sleep over it
but i also won't be on an internet forum crying about not being able to find supplies or complaining about the price when i do
Meanwhile, back at the ranch....

Midway is moving their warehouse and upgrading their shipping system. That might be part of the reason.

Got an email from Midway yesterday. They are apparently in the process of moving to a bigger wearhouse with some fancy automated picking and packing machines. They stated that they would be experiencing longer wait times and other disruptions while this takes place… perhaps that is the cause?
