So am I to understand the Bolt face is or WSM cartridges? Like 270 WSM? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I am new to building.

Yes, the bolt head will work for all wsm cartridges; 270 wsm, 7mm wsm, 300 wsm, 325 wsm, etc.
