SOLD/EXPIRED WTB Savage .300WSM Action or Rifle

I have a 26" small shank stainless Krieger barrel that I'd sell.

In it's previous life it was on a Rem 700. It was 308win with several hundred rounds. The tennon and shoulder was cut off and threaded for a small shank Savage and chambered in 300wsm.

The contour is about half way between a Remington magnum and varmint.

It hasn't been fired since its been chambered.

$250 shipped

I'm not sure who did the work. I bought it from another forum and never used it. I have a small shank Hart in 300wsm that shoots fantastic. I got the Krieger for a backup barrel but never needed it.

I'll try to post a picture tomorrow.

I have a pre accutrigger Savage 16 FSS Weather Warrior 300 WSM with Timney Trigger and B & C Medalist stock-Varmint/Target/Tactical. Will sell without stock or trigger if you want. Let me know if interested. Action is 4.275 spacing.

Thanks for your message. Who did the work? Can you send me a photo? Regards, Dave

Here's a couple picture. One showing the chamber end showing the radius. The other shows the muzzle end with some small marks in the finish.

I made a mistake. It is 28" long and .75" at the crown.

Guys, thanks for the responses and your time. I have located a Stevens action locally that I am going to use for my build.

My barrel would be perfect on that Stevens action.:D

I hear ya. :)
Please forgive my ignorance but is my Stevens the small shank? How can I tell? Its a long action.
Is the barrel stainless? Will those marks polish out or are they deep? Are you firm on price?

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, your Stevens is a small shank. Stevens didn't make a large shank. Large shanks went on Savage RUM's, WSM's, and Target actions.

Yes, my barrel is stainless. Yes, the marks will polish out. They are very faint.

Somewhat flexible. Make an offer.
