Cabelas has a fairly decent sale on these right now. I'm wanting a lighter rifle in 300 wsm. The reviews on line are pretty good but I'd rather hear from someone who's actually shot one. Not looking for cosmetics. Wanting one to carry on atv and horse

Don't know if I can be a lot of help to you, but I do own one in 30-06. I've had it about 6 weeks and haven't done a lot with it.

I've been working up some loads for it trying to use 180gr. TTSX. The best I've done with it so far is about 3/4" but I have not been happy with the scope I put on it, so I just changed it over to a higher power scope to do more load development. I really feel it is more accurate than what it has shown so far. If I can't get these TTSX to do better, then I'm going to try some NBT's.

The trigger breaks very clean, but just a little heavy. It can be adjusted but I'm leaving it as it for now. The stock is of course plastic/Tupperware, but it is one of the stiffer plastic stocks that I've seen.

I like the mag, I know some people would prefer it to be totally smooth with the stock, but it doesn't stick out enough to bother me.

I just got one in 7 Rem mag Kuiu camo yesterday. I wanted this rifle to take into the woods when I don't want to bang around with my HS Precision or Dakota(s). I read several positive reviews. Found the Kuiu versions on CDNN for 399 - 50 rebate and free shipping (not free 4.00 handling) Total 354. Cabelas now has same sale.
I went with 7 mag because I have dies, bullets, brass.
I had never seen one so when I opened the box I was pleasantly surprised at the "quality" of the rifle. The dark grey applied finish is very smooth. The bolt locks up tight. Trigger is set at 3 lbs. The plastic stock feels good in the hand. So over all the fit and finish are good for the price point. I haven't decided on a scope yet. For a scope mount I see Winchester has a set under their name which look like Talley's. Given the $50 price I am guessing Talley is making them.
I'll report back once I get it shooting.....

Late to the party here. I just bought one (.270 Win) from Cabelas on sale for $400, picked it up on Friday. I paired mine with a Vortex HS-LR 4-16 I had lying around. So far, really liking it! Only put 20 rounds through it just as it was getting dark with factory ammo (150 gr power-shoks), once I was sighted in my three 5-shot groups ended up being a little under 1.5" @ 200 yards which is right about average for me, and I bet I could tighten it up with some handloads and getting to know the gun better.

I got the cheepo Winchester branded base/rings 2 pc combo on Amazon for $52 because I'm a little strapped at the moment and couldn't afford the ~$180 Warne setup and it seems okay for now, but I will be upgrading eventually.

For anyone looking to buy this (or get anything from Cabelas), just FYI. There is this app called retailmenot, you can get $100 Cabelas gift cards on there for $85! So I got 4 of those, making the purchase price of the rifle $340. After I get my rebate back, that means I'll be out the door for a cool $290 before accessories. I usually hate Cabelas, but I couldn't walk away from that price when I needed a new hunting rifle! Figured I'd share the love.
