Winchester model 12 take down

Looking for Winchester collectors who will give me a honest value of a Winchester model 12 take down

Maybe this will help. Out of the blue book of gun values that's 6-7 years old. Values are slightly up would be my guess

Cutts compensator reduces the value and appeal. Also barrel looks cut shorter.

What's the serial number (i.e. year of mfg) and does the receiver match the barrel?

My guess is you'd be lucky to get $450-500, but gun prices have been crazy lately.

All model 12s are takedowns.
It's a standard grade, postwar from the stock design.
If you have at least 3 Cutts tubes, list it on Gunbroker @$450 no reserve.

I love Model 12s and have more than my share. Yours was manufactured in 1947. Value will be dependent on whether the compensator was factory installed. Barrels with factory installed comps will have no choke marking on the barrel.

I have also been a big fan and own Model 12's of various configurations.
I would also place your Model 12's value in the $400-500 range. Most all collectors would seek Model 12's new/excellent, original condition.

It just looks like the barrel is short because the tube is out for takedown.
