Why aren't we lighter at the equator?

The earth is spinning about 25,000 mph, we have 24 hours in a day, so, at the equator we are moving about 1,000 miles per hour. Shouldn't centrifugal effect would be making is lighter at the equator than at the Poles?

Or does it have something to do with time dilation?

You ARE lighter at the equator, it's just by such a small amount that it doesn't matter. The difference by percent is 0.5%.

So if you weigh 200 pounds at the pole, you'll weigh 199 at the equator. The reason it doesn't matter is you can lose or gain that amount on a plane traveling from one to the other. But if you take a cast iron weight and do the same, you can measure the difference.

Also, being relative, it's easier to think about the RPM's vs the actual speed. It doesn't matter that a bullet is doing x in mph at the edge of the bullet, what matters is how many times per second it's spinning. To an extent. Earth is spinning so slow it takes 24 hours to do a single rotation.

To further prove this, the rotational velocity of a .223 bullet is vastly different from the velocity of a .338 bullet. That being said, both bullets with similar construction tend to fail to perform at similar RPM, around 300-315k rpm. If velocity was what mattered, the 338 wouldn't be able to even stabilize a bullet without the bullet flying apart.
 
The earth is not absolutely round like a basket ball. It is sort of squashed with the distance from the poles to center less than from equator to center. In addition to it being sort of squashed it is spinning and this makes for centrifugal force that moves objects outward. So this means that you would weigh less at the equator because you would be further away from the center of the earth (center of gravity) than at the poles and the centrifugal force generating from spinning would be greater - weight would be less than 1%. at equator than poles.

It is easier to launch rocket ships into space at the equator than higher latitudes.

We need to talk, with a blackboard or large paper. It seem that we have expanded from Animaxander to Copernicus to Kepler to Newton to Einstein to Heidegger, Schrodinger, Reiman, Dirac, etc. Gravity has and expanded to "Loop Gravity." Perhaps encapsulated in the "Standard Model."

Time moves faster higher up and slower at the earth's surface as if twins were separated at birth. One went to live in the mountains and he would age faster than the other at sea level.

I have a fingernail grip on some of your equations. Perhaps the basic concept of Space-Time - Space bends the closer to mass, also so does Time, but the mathematics elude me. Einstein was a great theorist, but it took him ten years to build the mathematics to base his assumptions about Relativity (Special and General) and maybe even he did not really grasp quantum mechanics, just called it "spooky."

My fascination comes from bringing these concepts from "airy-Fairy" / "spooky" to creating GPS, Alternating current, Television, computers, Artificial Intelligence,

If you want to get a better grasp on Einstein's theories I highly recommend the YouTube channel "Science Asylum"

He's a little kooky but he breaks down the theories (not just Einstein's but quantum mechanics as well as chromodynamics) into just about as simple as is humanly possible and then builds up from there in self contained videos.

This is one of his more basic videos on the topic but he's got a ton that go into various levels of detail
 
Hmmm, easier to launch rockets at equator? So I can jump higher there?

Since earth rotates to the east at 1,000mph, do we add this velocity when we shoot to the east?

Ok, This video just talks about books, but checking "Science Asylum" has a lot of other informational videos. Excellent examples! Maybe him or his ideas (and voice) made my brain hurt. Beginning to get a glimmer. Hanging in there. Thanks again.
