The small rifle primers are used by Lapua, that tells us something. The only problem with the SRP is that it has a tendency to crater pretty bad. The bolt can be modified for a smaller firing pin to alleviate this, but for my savage rifle all I had to do was switch to CCI450 primers, cratering gone.
