When should you/I add a cheek rest to my rifle?

Never really shot long long range before (nothing ever over 400 yrds), but I'm working on it.

I bought a new Remington Sendero SF II in 300 RUM. I also just got in the Vortex PST 6-24X50 FFP scope. On order (should receive them later this week) is the EGW 20 MOA picatinny rail and the Burris extreme tactical low rings. (Side note - I really hope the "low" rings give me enough clearance. This same scope, base, rings combo worked great on a Savage rifle - according to a LRH member.)

My question is - Would a cheek rest provide any benefit at this point? If so - any suggestions on brand?

Thanks so much for any feedback.

At this point it only offers you having it on hand in case you need it. You won't know if you need it until you have the scope mounted and check the fit.
