what's the difference in primers?

I'm loading for 300 WSM, 270 WSM, and 7-08. I've seen some data that loaders are using "BR 2" primers, instead of LR mag primers in the WSM..I have both, but I haven't used the BR 2 primers in the WSM. Question is, will they/can they work better than the large rifle mag primers?
