Hello,

Does anyone have any experience with one of these rifles? I might be entertaining a trade for one and wanted to get others opinions. I was more in market for 300 or 338 rum.

Thanks for any help

I think you got yourself talked into it. Get it. I hunted with a 300 Wby in West Texas for 10 yrs but it was not a ti, but when you pull the trigger on your target game you will not even think about recoil.

It's defined a trade that goes in my favor but not sure if the cartridge is in enough demand if I decide I don't want the rifle. I shot 300 weatherby mag for 1,000 yard comp years ago, but a 70lb gun barely moves haha

Dad has one and I have shot it a fair amount doing load development.

Despite what you'd think, with the brake and the 3D recoil pad the recoil is very mild. I can shoot it as much as I want with no issues at all.
He used it last year to take a 360 inch bull in Colorado.

I've been looking for one for myself next.

Get it, but you might want to upgrade the brake.

300 weatherby is a beast and will hammer anything you point it at.
