Vortex HS-T vs PST gen2

I'm looking at these two scopes for my budget 6.5-06 build. Either the 6-24 or the new 5-25 PST.
I'm trying to figure out if the PST is worth the extra weight. The HS-T is 22.6 vs 31.2 for the PST. I'm trying to keep it somewhat lightweight.
Am I just looking at the difference of an illuminated reticle and the ffp option?

31 oz is 2 lbs, definitely not what you'd want on a lighter weight hunting rifle. 22 is more like it.
