And don't bother with insurance….I sent a Swarovski spotting scope with the eyepiece via priority mail and it arrived with a huge hole in the side of the box. No eyepiece was in the box. I insured it for $2k…filed a claim, provided them a receipt for the purchase, and only asked for the eyepiece to be replaced…only like $600, not the full $2k. They told me that I would have to turn in the spotting scope body in as well and then file for the full price. I disputed it a few times, had the postmaster for where it was sent to write and confirm that there was a hole in the package. It was denied on 3 occasions…just gave up on dealing with it. What a joke the post office is.

Of course but that USPS takes 5 days to go from one side of Kansas City to the other.

It's not a joke. It's really frustrating and the company I ordered from charges very high shipping costs. Far more than what they had to pay USPS.
