Tarptent has just come out with what is (IMHO) the best ultra light solo tent. (1 lb. !!)
So OK, it's $535. B/C it's made of Dyneema "cloth" that is very strong and very light.
That aside this tent can accommodate guys to 7 feet!, has more internal space than other solo Dyneema tents and has the best venting of all of them for far less inside condensation.
It is a single wall tent with sewn-in netting zippered door and floor for bug-free camping. Nice sized vestibule for pack and boots storage or cooking in it during bad weather.
The only thing I'd add would be 5 light nylon webbing stake loops on the fly hem to nail down the fly in very high winds so there will be no flapping noise to keep me awake all night.
