Trigger problem with CA ranger 22

I recently bought a CA ranger 22 rim fire, the rifle shoots wonderful but I would like to get a better trigger than the trigger tech, I tried turning the screw to lighten it and now the bolt won't open any suggestions? Also can I put a timber Remington after market trigger on this gun? Help please
