Timney replacement trigger problems. Help

Just got a timney replacement trigger for my Vanguard and the trigger will not fire with new trigger installed. I (think) mine is a series 2 and according to the paper work it says it wont fit a series 2, i looked at Timneys site and it says right on it that it will also fit series 2. I double checked the part #'s and they are the same.
Anyone ran into this?

We got it, turns out the bolt and the 3 position safety all have to be in a certain spot so that the bolt would catch the cocking device on the trigger.
We also had to shave part of the wood stock to get the safety to fully dis-engage.
