Tikka T3x 22-250 1:8 Twist Stainless

Just a heads up that the Tikka T3x 22-250 1:8 Twist's are back in the wild. From my understanding and experience, they're only done as "special runs." I've been waiting for a stainless model to come in stock. Finally got the notice a couple weeks ago. I just bought one this morning. I'm going to have to ask forgiveness, as I didn't ask permission.

Super bummed Lapua stopped making 22-250 brass (temporarily).

I'm not 100% certain about the stainless models, but these have been readily available for 7-8 months because I've been fighting the temptation to buy one since June.

I've had mine for about a year & real happy with it. It's very accurate for such a light rifle.

I was just looking at them yesterday. I thought of having the boss order one for the shop. It should make for a sweet rifle.

I bought a .22-250 like this and a .223 just for the stainless actions. I converted them to a 7 saum and 6.5 prc using LRI bolts and preferred prefits. Man the price on the tikka boxes were both $689!!

Got some Sig brass in 22-250 couple of months ago. Its not Lapua but its available.

Thanks for that suggestion. I'll see if I can find any of that. Grafs.com has PPU in-stock and I've also found some Hornady.

That the problem with better brass. They make runs, and that it for awhile after that or a year. Now I buy lots in 250 to 500 at a time if I can get a hold of them, or place orders in and wait.
The big question I have is where the primers at? Especially in LRP Match.
I see SRP in match now, but that's it.
I have placed order in with Graf & Son. They do come thru.

Yea, it's a bummer that Lapua suspended making brass in the 22-250 and a few other cartridges for a while. When I heard they were doing that, the first thing I did was go online and scrounge up a couple hundred.

I saw someone listed they personally had a 1:8 Varmint Edition (heavy barrel)…. Haven't dug into that option.
