Tikka T3 Varmint - What Is The Ideal Barrel Length?

I've purchased a Tikka T3 Varmint 223 with a heavy blued barrel of 600mm/24" in length. I'm looking to add a suppressor and was wondering if it's worth shortening the barrel? I don't mind losing a little velocity but not accuracy - should I leave things as they are or shorten the barrel to make it easier to carry?
