Just curious is a standard 308 mag the same as a 243 mag?

Tikka action be all same length,different bolt stops,different internal length of mag.Width of magazine in magnums little wider.Look at Mountain Tactical for Tikka parts and info.

All Tikka actions and bolts are the same length. There are three bolt faces available: 1) 223; 2) a standard .473 bolt face (think 308, 30-06, 243, 6.5 CM; and 3) a .537 bolt face for magnum cartridges. The bolt stop determines how far back the bolt will be allowed to come, thus determining whether the action accomodates a short or long cartridge. Tikka has both a long and short standard magazines and long and short magnum cartridge magazines. Almost any short, standard bolt face cartridge will work in a long action as well.
