I bought my Tikka T3x in summer of 2020. Not long after I bought the rifle, I started reloading which has allowed me to shoot more.

I now keep a journal of shots on my new rifles but I was not keeping one for this rifle. I estimate I'm around 700-1000 shots on this bore with handloads that are not overly hot.

I got a bore scope for Christmas and took these pics immediately in front of the free bore. It doesn't appear overly worn to me but I'm not sure what to look for.

Any seasoned eyes can tell me how this throat looks? Gun still shoots well.

You can see a few miles on it, but it still looks great!

I think bore scopes should come with a coupon for a new barrel, not necessarily the case here, but seems every time someone gets a bore scope they think they need a new Barrel. Let accuracy dictate re barrel and use the bore scope to check how clean it is or to diagnose a problem.
EXACTLY!

I agree. I got this bore scope just for fun but I have seen people go off the deep end.

I'm not a competition bench test shooter that wants a bore down to the bare steel every 25 rounds. I honestly clean with Hoppes, use nylon brushes and lightly oil bore. I don't go after copper unless groups start to open up.

I would like to monitor throat wear on my rifles and figured this would be a helpful tool.
