Ok guys, so for a fixed reticle eyepiece at 33.5X, this is quite nice.

I've been thinking about buying a setup like this. I'm confused about the shot calling though. Wouldn't this be the same as second plane? How do you determine if it's really a mil or not?
At a fixed power, the reticle would always be correct, as you'll find on a ffp.

That makes sense although I thought the scope itself was variable power. So I would leave the scope on the lowest or highest setting? Sorry I know very little about these and a few YouTube videos I watched didn't touch on this

It's no problem, you don't have a magnification ring on the new eyepiece.
It's set on 33.5 from Vortex, which isn't a bad thing.
Usually you'll want to have your spotter on a lower magnification so as they can spot hits more easily.
Yet 33.5 is plenty of mag for the 1000+ yards in most cases.
