At least give them a call. I just put an MGM barrel on an Encore in 300 WinMag for a guy who was going on a moose hunt. No issues at all, functioned fine and shot 1 inch groups with Remington 180gr Corelocs. I've posted a couple of replies, forgot I just put this MGM barrel on his Encore.

I'm glad that you wrote back. I wrote in a previous reply that I had installed an MGM barrel in 300 WinMag for a guide in Maine actually. I just texted him and asked about the ejector issue you are having. He said that he places the shell into the chamber, closes the action and that is it. He further said that when he opens the action the shell is sitting there waiting to be pulled out of the action/chamber, fired or unfired. I would definitely call MGM, you have a malfunctioning of some sorts. Sometimes that is the problem buying used stuff. I just bought a used Ruger 77 tang safety from the interweb. Fortunately for me I had the parts and experience to repair it, otherwise it would have been an expensive proposition. Good luck with your barrel. I would like to add that sometimes a follow up on any remedies are helpful to others experiencing issues like this one.

I don't think it's the frame.
Frame & barrel locks up great without a shell in the chamber. MGM is sending a new extractor, spring & roll pin, free of charge. I'll let you guys know if it works.

I haven't actually seen this rifle, however without looking at the gun I would almost bet it isn't the frame. These frames are built pretty stout, and can take a beating. These frames cross/locking pins can loosen from heavy loaded ammunition, but that is the weakest link in that action. If the rifle is shot as it is supposed to be it will last a long time. I've had mine for at least 12-15 years and it looks like new cosmetically as it does mechanically. And if you put a Mike Belhm (?) trigger spring kit in the rifle it will have one of the best trigger pulls in your safe.
