Fat little fellow!
The hogs I'm seeing so far this year are the fattest I've ever seen.

I'm not sure if it's the mesquite beans or the pricly pear pods but the boar I killed a couple of weeks ago had more internal and back fat than any I've ever killed.

I kept his tenderloins and about half the loins to grill and the rest went for tamales but the TL's and Loin chops were the tastiest and most tender I've ever gotten from a big boar.

I agree. We've had 2 years of mild seasons - hot and cold. Both used to kill off a certain population and limit food growth. Not only are we seeing size but our numbers have exploaded.

that is awesome....love shooting with my .223 but have
also gotten into shooting them with a shotgun using
HogWild shells
