I was doing some load testing with all major brands in 06 the hornady superformance 150 sst misfired 5 out of 8 times one fired on a delay no other ammo did this including my handloads anybody had this experience?

I've shot a bit of the .223, 75 gr, Superperformance with very good results. Doesn't sound like the rifle, but I'd take the bolt apart and make sure things aren't gunked up, firing pin protrudes good, etc., then call Hornady.
With everybody running full tilt to keep up, I hope this doesn't become common.

its funny u should say that when I got home from the range I cleaned the bolt completely I got to thinking about all the CLP I had sprayed in there all winter it was pretty gunked up haven't shot it since

If it happens again in the near future you might check this. I had a similar problem a year or two ago with misfires. lots of them. I had blamed everything from primers to powder; humidity and cold; the dog and the next door neighbor and more.

Turned out to be none of these. It was a very weak firing pin spring. Stretching it only fixed the problem temporarily. Had to replace the spring.

Sometime after that I found the remaining loads in the cabinet, took them out to shoot and they all fired. Gun hasn't misfired since.

The dog still come around.
