Have given up on a reasonable rem 7 or 7 clone and am embracing the 700 platform for a build. Build is basically like the seven aac guns from about 10 years back, but in a caliber I want and stainless.
Problem is finding a suitable stock for the build, the seven stocks fit well with a short sporter barrel but most 700 stocks have much longer forends. The manners eh4 works good for stubby barrels but is setup for a heavy proof type barrel.
Anyone have a recommendation for a shorter forend stock that is setup for a std rem sporter contour?
