I see you moved the furniture this time. Didn't the wifey like the over spray ? I was thinking in the first photo. You should have at least covered up the furniture first. lol

How are you all solving the chipping problem? I spray primed and rustoleumed a Tikka stock, if someone looks at it wrong a piece flakes off.

When I paint plastic bumpers on cars I use a plastic adhesion promoter. Not sure if anyone does on these stocks. But when I do one, I will be. A can goes a long ways. You could try the SEMS brand. They usually make decent stuff.

Lance is a bad influence. He's very expensive. Because of him I own a s&b amongst other reamers. Only issue can't hold it against because he's smart as a whip.

Depends on the stock and if it is new or old. Usually wipe down with alcohol, then a damp microfiber towel.
If it is a full paint, I prime it. If itnis a sponge job, I go right to paint.

I have not had a problem, and I have a bunch that I did years ago that have seen a lot of truck and pack time.

Prep work probably has a lot to do with it.

Grout sponge, works for me. Cut it with siszzor to get more sponges, for more colors.

I cut up a sea sponge into different shapes.

I didn't put any clear/finish on mine. Some of the ones that I seen with had too much of a sheen. Mine is holding up fine and if you scuff it up just give it a shot of paint.
