Stevens 200 338 Lapua???

Would a stevens 200 action hold up/ be a good start for a 338 lapua build?

A Stevens action is a Savage action. Yes it will.

Where are you going to get a bolthead for the 338 Lapua? Why not a 338 Edge?

The Edge will work without taking the action to the limits.

I actually can't decide between the 338 lapua and the 338 edge.... I have a 300 win for regular hunting i want something for long distance paper punching

The Edge will be much easier. All you have to do is spin the barrel on an action with a regular magnum bolthead.

You'd have to find a machinist or gunsmith to make you a bolthead for a Stevens that will fit the Lapua.

Thanks guys...sounds like the edge would be a more economical build. Is there any body that makes a prefit edge barrel?

Shilen and Pac Nor. McGowan will if you pay a reamer rental. Sin Arms did both of mine. Probably others.
