Steiner Predator 8 or GPO SPECTRA

Does any one have one of these or have looked through one. I'm thinking about getting the 3-24x50 with the E3 reticle. I'm curious about the the crosshair thickness, for shooting over a 1000 yds. Also is the illumination bright enough to see on a sunny day? I was also thinking about a GPO SPECTRA 8X 2.5-20 if you have any thoughts on that one. Just don't know about either of these scopes.

Both are excellent and dependable scopes, however, the GPO, IMO, is on par and will cost you less as well as giving you a slightly wider FOV when your shots are closer in.

I owned both, and the GPO is the better of the two. The crosshairs are really fine on the GPO (6X18X50 Passion 3) I sold the Steiner but kept my GPO.
