I was a proud Irish guy having my 5th great grandfather come over from Ireland.
Until I did my DNA on Ancestry, lol. I'm like 0% Irish lol! I still enjoy the holiday regardless.

I bought some Irish whiskey to hide the taste of the corn beef we're having for dinner hahaha. That should suffice my 1/8

Neighbors invited us over for corned beef and cabbage. I will be returned to CO in another month!
My brother did a genealogy study of our family and traced us back to the year 1060 in Ireland and Scotland.

My great grandpa came over from Ireland. He spent ten years as an indentured servant on a farm to pay for the boat ride for him and his wife. That makes me a Mickey in part.

That type of slavery was white washed over in history. White people were never slaves or in your great grand pa's case indentured servant. Otherwise known as a slave on term.

At some point we have all been a slave ( to a point, some more than others, some worse than others) and if you've had kids--- you have owned a slave
Now-a-days, not all kids are slaves-- some are kings or queens but in yesteryears kids were often treated as slaves
But that's a little off topic--- I often wonder if those "DNA tests" are accurate or just a scam
