Sig Kilo 2000 unusual issue

This last weekend I went out to do some shooting. Set up multiple targets at various ranges out to 1000 yrds. Got set up to shoot the first target and grabbed my Kilo to get a range. To my surprise, when I pushed the range button the display was moved all the way to the left of center and a little low. I have never heard of or seen a rangefinder do this. I contacted Sig and they emailed me a shipping label. The customer representative said it was a new one to him. The rangefinder has never been dropped or miss treated. Used but not mistreated. Has anyone else seen anything like this in any rangefinder?
