Does anybody know the difference between these two units or are they actually the same. I picked up a 2200 with my Cabela's points.
When I look at the laser sticker on the bottom it states " kilo 1600bdx'
But stamped on the back is " 2200 bdx"
I have an original 2200 Mr and it seems to range farther

The laser sticker could just be describing the permit or license that SIG received for the laser, but not necessarily the LRF model they put the laser into.

The 2200/2000 comes in two/three versions — thank you, SIG, for confusing your customers 😉:

▪2200BDX Cabelas: 6-22x
➔ This is a model build exclusively for Cabelas.
It has the BDX to communiate with SIG's BDX scopes via bluetooth.

▪2200MR: 7-25x
➔ more magnification, brighter objective lens

▪2000: 7-25x
➔ this is like the 2200MR, but without the milling reticle, and with a very slightly weaker laser

Hope this helps.

Matthias

Your reply answers where the 6x22 was sold from but it is missing a couple of models from what I can find.

1 Cabela's 2200 lrh 7x25

2 limited run 2200 bdx 7x25 (oddly enough the next year they came out with the 2400 bdx 7x25 with nearly the same specs as the 2200 version.. except a supposed couple hundred yards range difference...

Here's the manual from both. Each are titled different with the 2200 stating 2200 and the 1600 stating 1600.
All specs appear to be the same... except a supposed couple hundred yards range difference..
As does the laser wattage and pulse time

As far as the rated range.. what I actually got with this unit in optimum conditions was
852 on a wood fence
1084 yards maximum on trees
1178 maximum on a reflective air handler on top of a building
1456 on a freeway sign.

My 2200 Mr beats all these by about 400 yards.
I really get the feeling they printed 2200 on the back of a 1600...

Thanks for the clarification! 👍🏼

Would you have links (or the PDF) for those manuals?
Because I'm in the market for a few SIG range finders — they appeal more to me than most other brands I have reviewed. I just don't dig "green/ olive/ camo".

I wasn't trying to clarify just add too what you said.
Thanks for the answer BTW

👍🏼 Thanks, guys! All those manuals are going into my range finder folder.

I'll review the specs, and then... — off to the races, ehm, the classified..... 😄
And a saved search on Ebay, of course.
