Sear Question

Looking at putting a new trigger spring on a TC encore pro hunter. in light triggers Mike bellm's website says the sear has to be changed so the hammer wont drop on its own. He makes a tool for doing this is it going to be something easy or something i could really mess the gun up trying to do it.
