CAD/CAM engineering has made four & six-hole rings and affordable option for most shooters.
But remember - just like a boat - every option is a compromise, and generally, re-loading is the wild-card.
Learn to dope the wind! And range does not remove wind from the equation for accuracy...

My two rings of choice are as follows.
1. ARC M-Brace
2. Seekins
I have some Badger Ordinance for a specific purpose. They are working just fine.
Hawkins are very nice, but I don't personally have any on my own rifles.

BTW - We have a local range that has created a competition for 500-yard scores scaled by caliber and total-stock rifle-investment. And some would be surprised by what can be turned to consistently hit a 10-inch steel plate at 500-yards.

So you may want to consider spending your first discretionary payment of income on a better trigger - and before you start over-thinking scope rings & bases. All the while understanding that target shooting is different from an actual hunting situation (where fine crosshairs may become a no-go).

Seeing as we are going to post some pics here are the Seekins on some of my rifles. First one is one of the first sets made back around 2005 with the three screws. Don't make them anymore but still great quality.

At lancetkenyon's suggestion I recently mounted a scope on my 7 PRC using ARC M-Brace rings. Due to the unique ring design it was the easiest, quickest scope mounting job I've ever done. I'm completely sold on the M-Brace rings - rock solid and a quick scope mounting job.
In second place I like Hawkins rings with the offset level incorporated into ring top. Also, nothing wrong with NF & Talley rings. I've used quite a few of both over the years.

The Burris Signature line scope rings are among the most overlooked and underrated, but they simply worked as advertised. I own quite a few of them. Getting up to 40 MOA, IIRC, is a big plus and an excellent price point.
