Scope rings

What scope rings are you guys liking for heavy gun? I like aluminum. Always use tps 7075 rings but there not made any more

Ken Farrell. His rings are a work of art. Steel or aluminum, you choose. And they don't have to be lapped, in fact he recommends that you do not lap them.

Seekins Precision rings are excellent. Have used them for 20 years now and on magnums also and they hold tight. They also make the Vortex Precision Matched rings so if you see a set of those for sale then they are good to go also.

I think Seekins are the best value when it comes to precision rings in 7075 aluminum. They offer a little more clamping area than most other rings.

The new Area 419 rings are really really nice. I like their level.

I have a NEAR Alpha hunter unimoint that is made of stainless steel. At around 4oz it's simply a work of art

Always us Burris XTR Signature rings. Never had a scope move even with big magnums. Being able to add cant is a nice bonus along with zero ring marks.

American Rifle Company M10 or M-Brace rings, by far the easiest way to mount a scope.

They say don't lap. But I have yet to mount some that don't need lapping. The ring company doesn't know how good or bad your receiver is l.

Talley in alloy and Rugers steel/stainless own brand for my #3 no problem for me

I just mounted a couple of scopes. One with Seekins rings. First time I have tried Seekins rings I think they are a great value. The second scope is mounted on Area 419 match rings. The are incredibly well made. Pariclularly nice is the adaptor mounts built into the rings. I have an MDT Send It electronic level attached the rear ring. It is very handy. Both the Seekins and the Area 419 come in specifically matched sets.

I also have a couple of sets of Hawkins rings which are very nice as well.

Spend what you will - but all shooters are not equal, no matter what.

A local range even has a competition that factors caliber with, range, total investment against scores out to 500-yards.
